50's fun for everyone
What a summer...  Wet, wet, wet.  We were only able to attend the Neyland Classic car show and the demp there was not good for the 2300S.  And we had 3 generators fail as well!  It was a nightmare this year.  Oh well, hopefully things will be better next year.

The Seeburg V200 is almost ready.  The electronics (still got the original '55 6Y4 and OC2 tubes in!) and mechanics are running for the first time in 38 years so I have the cabinet to restore now.  Fortunately a joiner is a good friend of Shirley's!  So the big V will be available soon - 200 selections of loud 'n' proud rock 'n' roll goin' out!   I will keep this jukebox as original as possible as I have always thought that a total restoration damages the authenticity of a machine.  An album of the restoration will soon be placed on this site.

The 2300S still rocks the show loud 'n' proud.  I tried some replacement output tubes in it recently (EH6973's) but I am not convinced...  I think I will put back the original 49 year old RCA 6973's.

The 2310 is still looking very uncared for.  This was a real junker when I bought it, but the amp runs up now and works, the mechanical memory and pinbank work but the electric selector assembly is still rough.  Needless to say the cosmetics all need to be redone.  50Hz pulleys and ballasts are now installed but it still runs from the 110v ring in my house, as does the V.

The 2104 is as reliable as ever.  A bulletproof jukebox this one is.  And it manages to shake the plaster off the walls and rattle the kitchen cupboards when wound up.  The bass is ear shattering!  Wonderful.

It looks like we will be appearing at the Jive Jive Jive weekend in Reading (details on the Links page) with 3 machines.  The Seeburg (still looking a bit worse for wear), the Wurlitzer 2300S and the trusty old 2104.  504 selections of music will be available from these machines!
